This walk takes you around some of Eastdean Wood, north of East Dean. At the top of the hill (235 metres) we turn right on to the South Downs Way for around 0.75 miles, then turn right back through the woods, across a field and down a farm track by a different route. The walk is 3.5 miles long. There are many footpaths so I recommend taking a map with you, preferably an electronic one with GPS. You can usually find some space in the farm yard to park a car or two at the start position (GPS 50.92062, -0.71408 - OS SU904142) shown by a red flag on the map.
