This is a 3.8 mile walk through woods, downland and open countryside. A small section of it is on the South Downs Way. There are some good views along the way and this walk reaches a high point of 215m. I recommend taking a map with you, preferably an electronic one with GPS. There is some parking for a few cars at the start (GPS: 50.93887, -0.85263 OS SU807161) shown by a red flag on the map. A visit to the nearby St Mary’s Church will be worthwhile too.
